- The U.S. Census Bureau Home Page
There is so much information on the Census Bureau Homepage you could spend the rest of your life sifting through it. In addition to detailed results from the 2000 Census of Population, there is economic and social data, reports about population trends, and a wealth of maps. The interface can be a bit confusing at times, but stick with it and you’ll strike gold.

- United Nations Population Information Network (POPIN)
An indispensable source of global population data, POPIN’s servers house data on much more than just raw population numbers. You can find data on gender issues, children, cities and urbanization, health, education, and refugees as well. A lot of data are presented by region as well, which is useful for geographic inquiry.
