- Ocean Surface Topography
The TOPEX/Poseidon joint project between NASA and CNES to map ocean topography has provided nine years of data. Included in the vast data set are eight major groups of data describing sea level to 5 centimeters, ocean topography, seasonal current change, large-scale ocean phenomena such as Rossby and Kelvin waves and El Niño/ La Niña events, ocean circulation, oceanic heat storage, global tidal maps and the Earths gravity field.
