If you know how to find the area of a rectangle, you can also find the area of a triangle. Since a rectangle can be formed using two triangles, the area of a triangle can be thought of as one-half the area of a rectangle. Therefore, the formula for the area of a triangle may be expressed as one-half length times width or A = ½ bh, where b represents the base of the triangle and h represents the height.

Find the requested area in the following problems. Then click on "play" and check your work. Enter the appropriate values in the boxes provided and be sure to hit the "enter" key after entering your final value.
