Instructions:

You can use this interactive application to estimate the age of a female based on her target heart rate. The algebraic expression for this estimation is 0.65(220 – A), where A is the age of the female in years. Try estimating some different ages by using the graph. Next, check your estimate by changing the heart rate in the applications. Also check your estimate by using the equation.

You can also use this interactive application to compare different target heart rates of two women of different ages. Do this by clicking on the button next to "target heart rate difference" to see the differences. Try a variety of ages for each woman. Then check out the original problem, #101, on page 30 of your textbook.
