Instructions:

For this application, select a value for the measurement of angle B that will then be used to determine the range of possible measurements for angle A. Try selecting a variety of different measurements for angle B and determine the relationship between angle B and angle A. The measurement of angle B is equal to the sum of angle A and the angle at the lighthouse.

After selecting a value for angle B, click on "run" to see the effect of the captain sighting the lighthouse at the two points. Reset the problem and try a different measurement and click "run" again. Check out problem 73 on page 127 of your textbook for the original problem.
