Math is useful in so much of what we do, both work and pleasure. This interactive application illustrates the relationship between size of a sailboat and its maximum possible sailing speed (in knots). Change the length of the sailboat several times to see how fast the boat moves. Then go to page 419 of your textbook and try problem 86.
