Gerald L. Bradley received his B.S. degree from Harvey Mudd College and his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology. A former National Science Foundation and Woodrow Wilson Fellow, Professor Bradley has taught at Claremont McKenna College since 1966. His primary area of mathematical interest is matrix theory, and he is the author of A Primer of Linear Algebra (Prentice Hall). He has a strong interest in mathematical education and has also coauthored texts in applied finite mathematics (McGraw-Hill) and engineering calculus (Prentice-Hall).  His personal interests include archaeology, history, astronomy, and bridge, but he spends most of his spare time with his passion, writing science fiction novels.
