45 Interactive Diagrams have been designed for use with the Barnett/Ziegler/Byleen College Algebra Series and are available on a browser-based CD-ROM. 4 of these IDs (Interactive Diagrams) have been included on this web site demonstration from the Equations and Inequalities Chapter. Each Interactive Diagram is a separate Java Applet that contains an illustration that can be manipulated by the user to further enhance the conceptual understanding of a given topic. Various parameters in each diagram may be altered to allow for the visualization of how these numerical or situational changes affect the graphical illustration. These manipulations will help students recognize patterns and visualize concepts, while questions presented in conjunction with each diagram will guide their exploration of the topic. An icon has been placed in the margin of the textbook to indicate the availability of a corresponding Interactive Diagram.

You may click on any one of the textbooks in the series to view four sample Interactive Diagrams for use with the College Algebra Series.
