The computerized test bank, available in both Windows and Macintosh format, allows the instructor to utilize both algorithmically generated test questions and those from a static test bank. This testing system enables the instructor to choose questions either manually or randomly, and to sort the test bank by section, question type, level of difficulty, and other criteria. In addition to the test-creation features of this system, the computerized test bank includes an on-line testing program that allows the instructor to administer tests on a single computer or on a computer network. This browser-based CD-ROM contains 45 Interactive Diagrams that are designed for use with the textbooks. Each Interactive Diagram (ID) is a separate Java Applet that contains an illustration that can be manipulated by the user for further conceptual understanding of the topic presented. Different parameters in each diagram can be changed to allow for visualization of how these numerical or situational changes effect the graphical illustration. These manipulations will help students recognize patterns and visualize concepts, while questions associated with each diagram will help guide their exploration. For each section of the text where an ID has been created, an icon has been placed in the margin.
