Overview
This chapter provides an introduction to archaeology and physical anthropology. It explains how archaeologists find the remains of past human societies and how they then recover data that can be used to answer the key questions of what happened in the past, when and how it happened, who past people were biologically and why they lived and changed as they did. Methods of dating are presented as are techniques used to evaluate technology, reconstruct environment, diet, social systems, trade and ideology.
