Worksheet 4-1 Comparing Newspapers to Other Media

Break into groups of four people. Each of you must follow the same major news story (either you may choose or your instructor may assign a specific topic) for the next couple of days. Each member of the group is responsible for one of the following media outlets:

  1. a major newspaper (copy and attach all articles you found)
  2. television news or entertainment programming (report the specific program and give a brief synopsis of each piece of content)
  3. radio (report the specific program and give a brief synopsis of its content)
  4. another source of your choice (e.g., Internet, magazine, newsletter, a person)
