Transitions
1. Are the transitions between sections and paragraphs effective? If not, which ones need to be strengthened?
2. Did you feel lost at any point? If so, where?
Style
3. Is the writing sufficiently clear, varied, and graceful? If not, which are the unclear, monotonous, or awkward passages?
4. Is the writing concise and to the point? If not, which are the wordy passages?
5. Are there any clichés that should be eliminated?
6. Is there excessive reliance on the to be verb forms (is, are, etc.)?
Diction
7. Does the language seem appropriate for its intended audience? Do you see any excessively formal or excessively informal language?
8. Do you see any discriminatory language?
Mechanics
9. Have the mechanical details (spelling, punctuation, etc.) been handled accurately and carefully? If not, what errors did you notice?
