Religious Truth and Pragmatism

Pragmatists talk about the concepts of truth and meaning in terms of their “cash value,” or the practical effects they have on a person’s life.  Use the Internet to research various religions (Catholicism, variations of Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Taoism, etc.) and note how they talk about the meaning and truth of the particular religion in pragmatic terms.  What is the “cash value” of holding various religious beliefs?
