The Turing Test
Alan Turing developed a test that he believed would serve
as a benchmark for a truly intelligent computer. Use the following Web links to
investigate the Turing Test. Some computer scientists claim that their computers have
passed this test, are they right? If so what does this imply about artificial
intelligence. Some philosophers and scientists argue that the Turing Test measures human
intelligence and not computer intelligence, is this a valid criticism?
