Worksheet 1-3 Competition or Cooperation?
Find two (2) sections of dialogue from a play, story, magazine article, or other source. Use the Internet if you wish. One should illustrate competitive communication and the other cooperative communication. Staple a copy of the dialogue to this worksheet. For each example, explain the elements that created the competitive or cooperative environment. Be certain you discuss the ideas of individual achievement, the extent of hypercompetitiveness, communication competence, self-esteem, empathy, teamwork/cohesiveness, achievement, and performance.
