
About the Authors
Greg
Glau is director of the writing program at Arizona State University, in Tempe,
where he has taught since 1994, and where he had previously coordinated the Stretch
ProgramArizona State Universitys nationally known basic writing program.
He is also co-Chair of the Conference on Basic Writing, as well as co-editor of BWe:
Basic Writing e-Journal. He holds a PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of
English from the University of Arizona. Greg has published more than 200 articles and
short stories, as well as six business books; his recent articles have appeared in WPA:
Writing Program Administration, English Journal, and Rhetoric Review. He
is a frequent presenter at national conferences on composition, including CCC, WPA, and
MLA. Gregs been married for 34 years and has three children: Rob, Tracy, and Kohl. |
Craig
Jacobsen teaches composition, literature and film at Chandler-Gilbert Community
College in Chandler, Arizona. He holds a Ph.D. in Contemporary American literature from
Arizona State University, and he has taught a wide range of composition courses at both
large universities and small colleges, in traditional and computer-mediated classrooms. He
does occasional freelance magazine writing, has written for businesses and nonprofit
organizations, and is co-editor of SFRAReview, the publication of the Science
Fiction Research Association. He has presented papers at RMMLA, the Western States
Composition Conference, the Southwest/Texas Popular Culture Association/American Culture
Association, and the Science Fiction Research Association. His wife, Laura, is a freelance
childrens illustrator. |
