Comparative and Superlative Adverbs

A comparative or superlative adverb is used to indicate the relativedegree of some quality expressed by the word or phrase the adverb modifies. A comparative adverb indicates that an item has more or less of thequality than does another item; a superlative adverb indicates thatan item has the quality to the greatest or least degree.
