As a body
is heated, the wavelength at which it radiates most strongly, lm, shifts to shorter wavelengths,
a relation known as “Wien's Law.” Thus the color of an electric stove burner
changes from red to yellow as it heats up. Note also that as the object's
temperature rises, the amount of energy radiated increases at all wavelengths.
