10.16 A meteor shower

Most meteors come from random directions in the sky, but during a meteor shower they come from a particular direction. For example, during the August meteor shower the meteors come from a direction in the sky toward the constellation Perseus. Their direction is set by a combination of the motion of the Earth and the cometary debris creating the shower.
