OVERVIEW
The third edition of Chemistry in Context maintains the outlook and strengths of its preceding editions while bringing new and exciting dimensions to the textbook. The basic philosophy and approach remain constant: chemistry set within a contextual framework. Significant societal-technological issues serve to introduce the chemistry, which is developed within its political, economic, social, global, and personal contexts. Chemical principles are introduced on a need-to-know basis. In-chapter and chapter-end exercises apply and extend the chemical concepts.
