Using CHIME
You can view and rotate molecules on the web using Chemscape CHIME, a "plug in" that is available free of charge from MDL Information Systems, Inc. Download the latest version of CHIME and follow the directions to install it with your copy of Netscape or Internet Explorer.

As drawn in CHIME, the atoms are color coded and usually conform to the following key:

Hydrogen Carbon Nitrogen Oxygen Chlorine Sulfur Fluorine
white
gray
blue
red
green
yellow
tan

Here are the directions for using CHIME with a PC:

TO
ROTATE
Click on the molecule using your left mouse button,
hold it down, and move your mouse.
TO
CHANGE SIZE
Click again and hold down the shift key at the same time.
Move the mouse up to increase size and down to shrink.
TO CHANGE
THE DISPLAY
Click on the molecule using your right mouse button
to bring up a menu.

Here are the directions for using CHIME with a Mac:
