30.7 Color by Addition and Subtraction

Color Addition and Subtraction
Instructions:
Click on the "Start Simulation" button to start the applet. Click on one of the tabs to start. The "Mixing Light" tab allows you to mix "red", "blue" and "green" in a black background.   The "Mixing Pigments" tab allows you to mix "cyan", "yellow" and "magenta" in a white background.  The "Color Printing" tab allows to control the amount of "cyan", "yellow" or "magenta" you want to use. You can change the intensity of a particular color by clicking on either the up or down control.  The value of selected intensity is shown in the adjoining box.

Navigation: You can come back to this window by pressing the "Close Simulation" button on the bottom frame of the utility.

Explanation:
This applet simulates the concepts discussed in section 30.7. Figure 30.19 can be reproduced by using the 'Mixing Light' tab.
