Explanation:
The default settings of this applet simulate the situation discussed in Section 15.6 and illustrated by Figure 15.12. You can obtain shock waves (Section 15.7) if you set the speed of the point source greater than the speed of the wave. You can use the applet's capability of measuring angles to verify Equation 15.8.
