AIP also sponsors an online journal “to promote the development, advancement and recognition of industrial physicists and the applications of physics in industry.” PhysLINK--Physics & Engineering Online Education & Reference Page This page offers a variety of information for a physics enthusiast. The site includes listings for a variety of news sources, including a topical listing of current physics events. There is an online forum, a job listing board, an “Ask Experts” feature, as well as links to physics departments and societies around the world. It also includes part-time as well as summer and temporary job listings world wide and has links to career planning aids, job services, and many other kinds of sites. There is also a link to The Physics Major, the school’s physics department’s annual newsletter. High Energy Physics Information Center (HEPIC) This site has job listings and links to employment pages for several institutions. There is also an area for individual advertisements which will allow students to subscribe to the page and be notified each time a new job posting is made. The site also has a reference section, a listing of conferences, and list of links to phone books and directories of High Energy Physics sites or experiments around the world compiled by the HEP Network Resource Center. American Physical Society (APS) APS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to “establishing a professional network of physicists across academia, national labs, and industry to facilitate technical development and to help physicists make professional contacts in new areas of research.” It also includes a variety of job and employment resources including a summer jobs database. PhysicsJobs All jobs, studentships and courses advertised in Physics World magazine are automatically placed on this server.
