High Energy Physics Information Center
From the site: Originally HEPnet was a Wide Area Network that served the High Energy Physics (HEP) community. It consisted of links of various bit rates interconnecting major HEP sites across the US and Canada and Europe. It was implemented using DECnet technology and was funded by the U.S. DoE. Today, it is a virtual network of higher level network services that are HEP oriented and this is a link to a number of those services.

Scale of the Universe Debate
A NASA site with links to details of 3 debates: (1) In April 1920, Harlow Shapley and Heber D. Curtis debated "The Scale of the Universe" in the main auditorium of Smithsonian's Natural History Museum in Washington, DC. (2) In April 1995, 75 years after the "Great Debate" of 1920, Donald Q. Lamb (Chicago) and Bohdan Paczynski (Princeton) debated "The Distance Scale to Gamma-Ray Bursts" in the same auditorium. Martin Rees (Cambridge) moderated. (3) "The Scale of the Universe" was again the program theme with presentations by Sidney van den Bergh and Gustav A. Tammann, debate moderator John Bahcall, and lectures by Owen Gingerich and Virginia Trimble.
