Student Resources Chapter 6: Internet Research Chapter Summary The Internet is a valuable tool for finding information. To begin Internet research, select the keywords of your topic. These keywords are necessary when using search engines, subject directories, and meta-search engines. These tools retrieve information that pertains to the keywords provided. Boolean operators, which include AND, OR, NOT, NEAR, and nesting, provide parameters for specific searches, which can lead to more efficient information retrieval.
