Student Resources Chapter 5: Using Audio and Video in Multimedia Presentations Chapter Summary Audio and video use in presentations can be helpful because it can support a topic, reinforce a message, and build credibility. Additionally, audio and video multimedia aids can be used as an introduction to a presentation or as a transition from one section of the presentation to another. Audio and video aids also affect the mood of the audience. While proper use of audio and video clip can be helpful, misuses can have negative effects for a presentation. It is important that sounds and visuals be seen and heard by everyone in the audience. Additionally, it is important that the audio and video be of good quality and well edited. Audio and video clips should be prefaced and you should face the audience while discussing them.
