Chapter 10: Unique Uses of Multimedia in Presentations

Chapter Summary

There are several unique uses of multimedia in presentations, including telephone, video, and Web conferencing. These presentations allow individuals to exchange information when participants are in different locations. While these unique multimedia presentations are convenient, they do have their challenges. Speakers are not able to incorporate visual and audio aids as effectively as in person-to-person presentations. As in other presentation formats, it is important that the audience receive the message clearly, so it is important to monitor voice and visual quality. It is also important that you be comfortable using the required technology for the unique multimedia presentation that you are giving. Preparedness and effective presentation skills are critical for your success.
