"Techno-speak" is an impediment to all beginners. The list below includes most of the popular acronyms and abbreviations that have invaded the language of technicians, engineers and programmers. Students are advised to peruse this list of common acronyms and abbreviations, determine how many of them they already know, and then begin learning the others. Sometimes the pivotal point in an interview centers on the response to a single question that may include acronyms and/or abbreviations.
