  1. Refer to Fig. 4-1 (below; prepared with Electronics Workbench®, Version 5). Write the sum-of-products Boolean expression for this AND-OR logic diagram. Complete a 4-variable truth table based on the Boolean expression you developed for the circuit in Fig. 4-1.

  2. Refer to Fig. 4-1 (prepared with Electronics Workbench®:, Version 5). Draw a NAND-NAND logic circuit that will replace this AND-OR diagram. You may use computer simulation software to assist you in this task.
  3. Refer to Fig. 4-10, Output Z, Experiments Manual for Digital Electronics, 6th ed. page xxx. Use circuit simulation software to
    1. develop a simplified Boolean expression for the truth table (output Z).
    2. draw an AND-OR logic diagram,
    3. draw an alternative NAND-NAND logic diagram, and
    4. show the results to your instructor.
  4. Refer to Table 4-4, Output Y, Experiments Manual for Digital Electronics, 6th ed. page xxx. Use circuit simulation software to
    1. develop a simplified Boolean expression for the truth table,
    2. draw an AND-OR logic diagram,
    3. draw an alternative NAND-NAND logic diagram, and
    4. show the results to your instructor.
  5. From the Boolean expression A'B'C'DE + A'BC'DE + ABC'DE + AB'C'DE + ABC'DE' + A'B'CDE' + A'B'CD'E' = Y, use circuit simulation software to
    1. generate a 5-variable truth table,
    2. develop a simplified Boolean expression,
    3. draw an AND-OR logic diagram,
    4. draw an alternative NAND-NAND logic diagram, and
    5. show the results to your instructor.
  6. Refer to Table 4-5, Output Y, Experiments Manual for Digital Electronics, 6th ed. page xxx. Use circuit simulation software to
    1. develop a simplified Boolean expression for the truth table,
    2. draw an AND-OR logic diagram,
    3. draw an alternative NAND-NAND logic diagram, and
