Chapter 4 - Power Supplies
- Figure 4-26 on page 78 of your
textbook shows a modern, portable oscilloscope. This
instrument has a computer serial port and can also
serve as a data logger. Find out what you can about
modern measuring instruments. You should search the
web sites for companies such as Tektronix and Hewlett
Packard.
- Log onto www.lambdapower.com
and choose What's New to view a description of power
supply products that includes product photos. Prepare
a general report depicting the types of products available.
Also, visit the Products section of the Lambda site
to learn more about their power supplies.
OPTIONAL ASSIGNMENT:
- Download the file 3_Phase
and follow the directions in the Description Window.
You will need Electronics Workbench®, version
5 or later, to perform this assignment.
- Instructions for downloading EWB®
files:
Click on the link, then save the file to a location
on your hard drive.
Locate the file [file name is in brackets above] on
your hard drive and open it.
Unzip the file at the WinZip dialogue box, then close
the box.
Open the file within your Electronics Workbench software
to view.
