  1. Explain the brain’s role in perception, including how it can cause one to see what is actually there, as well as what is not there. As part of your answer, draw an illustration of this principle, showing how the brain perceives what is not there.
  2. Pick any two aspects of creativity and using illustrations from the chapter, show how these particular aspects are an integral part of the illustrations you chose. Be specific and detailed in your explanation. The aspects of creativity are: sensitivity, flexibility, originality, playfulness, productivity, fluency, analytical skill and organizational skill.
  3. What do you imagine the colors and images chosen by Keith Haring said to the viewers who walked by them every day? Do you think the artist chose wisely? If you were in his circumstances would you have painted something different? If not, why not? If so, what would you have done?
