What could account for the different ways each artist used the same medium to get his/her message across? Is Palmer as well known as Toulouse-Lautrec? Why or why not?
  4. Imagine Hokusai looking at Rauschenberg's Centennial Certificate M.M.A. What would he think about the images, the technique, the medium? What would he say to Rauschenberg about it?
