  2. Imagine a conversation between Hitchcock and Griffith. What would each director say about the works of the other? Do you think each would like the films of the other? Why or why not?
  3. What does the word and process of animation involve? How has the computer contributed to and changed the basic process? Pick your favorite animated film and tell what makes its animation so special.
  4. Compare and contrast the photo-collages of David Hockney and Doug and Mike Starn. What is each of these artists trying to communicate in using photographs as collages? Why wouldn't each artist be able to give the same message in a single photograph? Explain.
  5. Describe the early stages and contributors to photography, ending with Eastman. Mention the most important developments in fixing the photographic image.
