5-1. Newsgroup Safari  

Check out any of these Journalism Usenet groups under the alt.journalism category. When you set up your newsreader, type in any of these names instead of downloading all the newsgroups on your server or even all the groups in journalism.  These groups contain thousands of messages that take time to download.
