Sue Titus Reid graduated with honors from Texas Woman's University in 1960 and received both her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 1972 she graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law. She is presently professor in the Reubin O'D. Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at Florida State University, Tallahassee. She has served on the board of the Midwest Sociological Society and the executive staff of the American Sociological Association. In 1985, she was the George Beto Chair in Criminal Justice at the Criminal Justice Center, Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas. Dr. Reids contributions to her profession have been widely recognized nationally and abroad. Her international honors include International Woman of the Year, 1991-92; International Who's Who of Intellectuals; and International Order of Merit, 1993.
