Create an 11th Grade Class Schedule

What do you think your students’ week should consist of?

Here are the courses that your high school is ready to offer. But as the new instructional leader, you will need to decide what should be taught, and how to organize the schedule for all your students. Some plan to go to college, others straight to a job, and still others are unsure. How will you respond to these different students? Will you have a single schedule, slight variations, or major schedule differences for your student population? How does your schedule reflect your values on ability grouping, tracking, and learning communities? How would you arrange the schedule? Which courses would be offered early in the day, and which later? How long would each subject be taught?

Time Slots (You can use multiple slots for your activities and classes, e.g. 8:30 to 10:00 for math, if you like)

Reflection: Look at your schedules, and consider what they tell you about your own educational values and preferences.
