Everyone knows that young children won't remember many of the trials and tribulations of their lives when they grow older. This is not the case when someone touches you in a special way during these years. As for me, these years were some of the best of my life so far, since I attended a prized school and experienced many things that most children do not. It is one of these experiences that I would like to share with you. I remember Kindergarten like it was yesterday. In reality, just a few weeks ago, I went to visit my Kindergarten teacher at my old school. She didn't remember me, but I sure remembered her. Every morning she would be waiting for us with a smile and a good morning hug. She was always so happy and lively.
She would have fun assignments for us to do, usually artistic or audio presentations. As a class, we did a lot of art projects, some that I still have to this day. I always looked forward to getting to school and seeing what fun things we would do that day. Although most children love a good break in their day, I HATED nap time, since it would disrupt our time of interaction as a class with our teacher and her assistants. Yes, we would do work, learn our numbers and letters, listen to books and make up our own creative stories and characters, but Miss Costa always made learning fun, even the beginnings of arithmetic were a blast.
I believe Miss Costa's energy and enthusiasm made her a great teacher and for that I am truly grateful. Thank you Miss Costa!
