It was an advanced Algebra course, but I wasn't intimidated. I tended to be good in math, as well as enjoy it. The subject came easy to me, therefore I did not put a lot of time into it. Why do more work if you don't have to? My new teacher, Mrs. Kenner, was very strict with homework. Every single problem had to be worked out, or you did not receive full credit. Homework was a good chunk of our grade, and now I see why. The further you got in your homework problems, the more challenging they became. In the past, I never felt challenged, so I did not finish all of the assignment. I was confident in myself, and thought I knew it all. Her policy taught me to always complete the assignment, because you never know what you'll learn! I thank Mrs. Kenner for her teaching technique and helping me to realize that extra time and effort does pay off!
