The teacher that has most influenced me is my high school biology teacher, Dr. Walsh. He is an amazingly kind man who knows how to make learning fun and interesting with a sense of humor. I went all through high school taking his classes: honors biology to begin my freshman year, anatomy and physiology in sophomore year, and ending with AP biology in my senior year. We would take notes most classes, but Dr. Walsh would get the class involved in discussions. The hands-on experiments in lab and the outdoor nature escapades were always an adventure. He truly cared for his students, making sure we were doing our work while giving us the independence we needed. I admire him for his dedication as a teacher and just for being a caring person. When I become a teacher, I hope I can have at least half of his positive qualities to make a difference in the classroom.
