A Class Act from the 60s

I remember the teacher I had in 8th grade. His name was Mr. Salvatore Cappucci. He taught in a Catholic school and was really into kids and teaching. He was a coach for the boys ice hockey team. He was full of energy and excitement . In our classroom we learned about drugs and the very harmful effects this would have on our bodies. Keep in mind that this was in the late 60's when the drug scene was everywhere and no escaping it. We studied about the legends of rock and roll from the 50's who were into drugs and who didn't survive because of the use of drugs in their lives. I think he made an impact on all of us but I know he made his best impression on me. I have never tried or wanted to try drugs in any form as a result of having Mr. Cappucci as my teacher. And I hope to pass this information on to my two young daughters as well. Thanks Mr. Cappucci for a job well done.
