Inherit the Wind

"Inherit the Wind" is based on a true story of a teacher who was put on trial for teaching his students Darwin's theory of evolution. The movie is based in "Heavenly Hillsboro," a deeply religious town that feels evolution is the teachings of the devil. The towns people rally around the prosecuting attorney until he is called to the stand as an expert and proves himself to be hypocritical. The defense attorney tries his best to fight for his clients rights and opens some of the citizens eyes in the process. The verdict ends in a surprising twist that leaves everyone questioning what was actually on trial.

"Inherit the Wind" is a powerful betrayal of how strong people can feel about religion and the lengths they will go to try and convert its opposition. The sensible direction and dramatic acting portray an excellent recount of the never ending disagreement between creation and evolution.
