Pay it Forward is about a seventh grader, Trevor McKinney, who has a fairly unstable home life with an abusive father and a mother with a drinking problem. In his social studies class he gets a simple assignment: do something to make the world a better place. He comes up with the idea to "pay it forward". Meaning he will do one big deed to help three people. Then, in return those three people must do the same for three other people and so on and so on. A reporter gets wind of this project and tracks down Trevor through people that have somehow been affected by pay it forward. Sadly after the reporter interviews him he is stabbed while trying to help a friend. However, his project lives on.

Pay it Forward is an inspirational movie. It shows through student/ teacher relationships that if the teacher can reach out to a student and make them believe they can do something great, they probably can and will. It also shows that however challenging the student/s may be if a teacher is serious about teaching, they can reach out and motivate, if not inspire them to go out and do something for someone besides yourself. This movie is great for anyone who is aspiring to be a teacher.
