Lida Daves-Schneider received her Ph.D. from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She has taught at the University of Georgia, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Rutgers, Riverside Community College, and Washington College where she taught German language and literature, film and teacher education courses and served as language lab coordinator. She spent a year in Berlin on the Fulbright Teaching Exchange Program. She is presently teaching German at Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Ca. She has given numerous presentations and workshops, both in the United States and abroad, about foreign language methods and materials. She co-authored ancilliary materials for Deutsch: Na klar! and was a contributing writer for the main text of the third edition.
