The Online Learning Center for Franklin/Moss, From Slavery to Freedom 8/e is rich in resources for students. The Self-Tests, Map Exercises, and African-American History on the Web sections were created by Eric Love, who earned his BA from Brown University and received his PhD from Princeton in 1997. He teaches African American and United States history at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Professor Love's first book, RACE OVER EMPIRE: RACISM AND UNITED STATES IMPERIALISM, 1865-1915 is forthcoming from the University of North Carolina Press.
