Pie Graph

A simple, but visually effective, way of representing data is the pie graph. It represents data as percentages of a pie-shaped graph. The total of the slices of the pie must add up to 100 percent. If a salon owner was interested in how productive each of his workers was, he might construct a pie chart to visually represent the number of haircuts each gave on a certain day. Julie gave 8, Margaret gave 12 and Joseph gave 22. Here is the resulting pie chart. The absolute number of haircuts given and the percentage that those comprise are shown below each worker’s name.

Suppose in a class of 150 students there are 13 Freshmen, 68 Sophomores, 50 Juniors, and 19 Seniors. Construct a pie chart to illustrate these data.
