  9. Distinguish between norms and roles.
  10. Define conformity and identify the factors that contribute to conformity.
  11. Describe the circumstances under which groupthink and deindividuation occur, and discuss the ways in which cults attract members.
  12. Contrast the Great person theory and the situational theory of leadership and discuss the ways in which the minority can influence the majority.
  13. Discuss the main factors in interpersonal attraction; identify the components of friendship and love.
  14. Identify the characteristics of lonely individuals.
  15. Identify the following aspects of altruism: reciprocity and social exchange; contrast altruism and egoism.
  16. Explain the bystander effect; describe the circumstances under which the bystander effect is less likely to occur.
