4. Describe secure attachment and anxious attachment, and review the research that indicates the variables involved in the development of attachment.

5. Discuss the impact of day care on attachment and emotional disposition.

Social and personality development throughout childhood is influenced by styles of parenting, the development of a gender identity, and the beginnings of moral development.
