![]() LETTER FROM THE EDITOR |
![]() Valerie Raymond | May 3, 2000
I got word yesterday that Barry Sherman, my friend, consulting editor, and author of two McGraw-Hill books, died suddenly. I feel a sense of shock and the knowledge of loss is just beginning to creep in. This, of course, is nothing compared to what Barry's beloved wife, Candy, and children, Eric and Jessica, must be feeling. There are times when no words can express the feelings and this is one of them. Nevertheless, I want to use this forum to state that Barry was a tremendous resource as an advisor and sounding board for me. His dynamic personality was equaled by his intellect, which was in turn matched by his humanity. And fun. No accounting of Barry can be made without mentioning that he was fun. I am grateful for my friendship with Barry and miss him already. |
