Stefan Kostka is Professor of Music Theory at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He has previously taught at the Eastman School of Music.

Dorothy Payne is Professor of Music Theory at University of South Carolina – Columbia. She received her Ph.D. in Music from the Eastman School at the University of Rochester. She previously taught at the University of Arizona, the University of Texas at Austin, and Pacific Lutheran University.
